Chaney Insurance Agency Supports MO Beef Kids Initiative

Bolivar, MO —

Chaney Insurance Agency owner/agent Logan Chaney recently presented a $250 donation on behalf of Chaney Insurance Agency and Farmers Mutual Insurance Company of Nodaway County, through the Ensuring Our Future Fund, to the Weaubleau RIII School District. The donation contributed to the school’s participation in the MO Beef Kids program, a program from the Foundation of Food and Farm Connections. MO Beef Kids partners schools with local cattle farmers and ranchers to help provide more beef in school lunches, increase food and nutrition education in the classroom, and combat food insecurity. The Ensuring Our Future Fund helps Farmers Mutual of Nodaway County agents provide donations to charitable causes in their local communities. Agents have donated to provide funds for new playground equipment, providing shoes for children in need, and other charitable initiatives. Farmers Mutual of Nodaway County agents are active members of their communities, and the Ensuring Our Future Fund helps provide another avenue for them to give back!

Chaney Insurance Agency also donated an additional $350 to bring the total donation to $600 to help support the MO Beef Kids program!

Aubrey Mattson Awarded Farmers Mutual of Nodaway County Scholarship

Farmers Mutual of Nodaway County recently awarded its annual college scholarship to Aubrey Mattson of Conception Junction, MO. Aubrey plans to attend Northwest Missouri State University this fall, where she will pursue a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Aubrey has been an active member in her school and community, holding leadership positions in a variety of organizations throughout her time at Jefferson C-123 high school. Aubrey has been class president each of her four years of high school, as well as being president of the Jefferson Student Council, and president of the Jefferson FFA chapter. She has also been involved in Jefferson’s chapters of the National Honor Society, Catholic Youth Organization, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Aubrey has been active high school athlete. She participated in both basketball and softball, where she was a member of two state championship winning basketball teams and a runner-up state softball team. Aubrey has previously received eh MSHSAA Sportsmanship Award, as well as the 275 Conference Scholar Athlete award and Jefferson Citizenship award.

Farmers Mutual of Nodaway County wishes Aubrey and all of our local high school graduates the best as they continue on to new journeys in life. We cannot wait to see what great things each of you achieve, and the positive impacts you will all make on your communities.

Beaver Insurance Donates to Boys Ranch

Farmers Mutual Insurance of Nodaway County agent Michelle Beaver recently presented a $250 donation to the Lives Under Construction Boys Ranch in Lampe, MO, on behalf of Farmers Mutual Insurance of Nodaway County and Beaver Insurance. The LUC Boys Ranch is a Christian-based organization with a mission to help improve the lives of at-risk boys by teaching them trade skills and values such as hard work, respectfulness, integrity, and honesty. The ranch relies on community donations to help support its operations and provide for needs such as equipment and transportation.

The donation was made through Farmers Mutual of Nodaway County’s Ensuring our Future charity fund. The fund was established to help the company’s independent agents support charitable initiatives in their local communities. The fund awards 4 donations per year, with a special emphasis being placed on charitable causes benefiting children. Farmers Mutual Insurance of Nodaway County is proud to support Beaver Insurance and its efforts to help contribute to the improvement of its local community.

Wiederholt Insurance Donates to Ravenwood Playground Fund

Farmers Mutual Insurance of Nodaway County agent Tricia Wiederholt recently presented the City of Ravenwood Playground Committee with a $250 donation on behalf of Wiederholt Insurance Agency and Farmers Mutual Insurance of Nodaway County. The donation will help contribute to funds that have been raised to improve the Ravenwood City Park. The City of Ravenwood plans to renovate the park with new, all-inclusive playground equipment that will help make the park a safer and more enjoyable place for children in the Ravenwood area to play at.

The $250 donation was made through Farmers Mutual of Nodaway County’s Ensuring Our Future fund. The fund was established by Farmers Mutual of Nodaway County to help agents affiliated with the company give back to charitable causes in their local communities, with a special focus on charities and charitable causes that benefit children.

Addison Insurance Donation

Addison Insurance Services Donates to Bethany Rotary Club

August 31, 2022

Addison Insurance Services, LLC owner/agent Cliff Addison recently presented a $250 donation to the Bethany Rotary Club. The donation was made with the support of Farmers Mutual Insurance of Nodaway County through the Ensuring Our Future charity fund. The fund is an initiative started by Farmers Mutual of Nodaway County to help independent agents support their local communities. The fund offers four quarterly grants of $250 that agents can apply for to give to a local charitable organization or cause. 

Addison Insurance Services donation will be used to support the Bethany Rotary Club’s Shoes for Souls program. The program helps the Bethany Rotary Club partner with local school districts in the Harrison County, Missouri area to provide shoes for disadvantaged children. The program also helps with shoe donations to children internationally. 

2022 Student Scholarships

Students Earn College Scholarships

For the 2021-2022 school year, three high school seniors affiliated with Farmers Mutual of Nodaway County earned scholarships through the Missouri Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (MAMIC) and Farmers Mutual Insurance of Nodaway County to use towards their college education. 

Riley Linville received a $1,000 scholarship from MAMIC. She plans to attend North Central Missouri College in Trenton, Missouri, and pursue a career in Occupational Therapy.

Claire Galbraith received a $1,000 scholarship from MAMIC, as well as the $1,000 2022 Farmers Mutual of Nodaway County scholarship. She plans to attend Missouri State Technical College in Linn, Missouri, and pursue a career in Digital Marketing.

Carley Martin received a $1,000 scholarship from MAMIC. She plans to attend Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri, and pursue a career in Medical Technology.

Tobin Benefit Golf Classic

Rebecca J Seipel is a 2010 graduate of Maryville R-II. Rebecca received a $1,000.00 scholarship from Farmers Mutual Insurance Company of Nodaway County towards her college education. Rebecca plans to attend Northwest Missouri State University and major in dietetics. She has been involved in various activities throughout her high school years. She played volleyball all four years, track her junior year, a member of the National Honor Society for two years and a member of various other organizations. She was also the junior class vice-president and her senior year she was the treasurer of student council. Rebecca is the daugther of Don and Linda Seipel of Maryville, Missouri.
